Bridge to Success Scholarship
The Bridge to Success Scholarship is offered by CNM to first-time freshmen who are in the process of qualifying for the Legislative Lottery Scholarship. The Bridge to Success Scholarship is offered for one term only and covers tuition charges and registration fees for the Lottery Qualifying Term.
NM Legislative Lottery Scholarship
The New Mexico Legislative Lottery Scholarship encourages New Mexico high school graduates and New Mexico high school equivalency credential recipients to enroll full time and complete a two-year degree within four terms or a four-year degree within eight terms.
Native American Scholarships
Native American students may qualify for scholarship funding from agencies that require a Financial Needs Analysis (FNA). An FNA must be filled in and signed by the student and submitted to CNM Financial Aid and Scholarship Services for completion.

CNM Graduation Incentive Scholarship
Students completing their degree program but who are not eligible for other financial aid may qualify for the CNM Graduation Incentive Scholarship. Please contact Advisement for information.

Teacher Preparation Affordability Scholarship
The Teacher Preparation Affordability Scholarship covers tuition, fees, and other education-related expenses for students who are enrolled at least half-time in a teacher preparation program.
Federal Opportunities
AmeriCorps
Funding for AmeriCorps members who have committed their time to address critical community needs like increasing academic achievement, mentoring youth, fighting poverty, sustaining national parks, preparing for disasters, and more who have earned education benefits to be used at two and four-year institutions.
Children of Fallen Heroes Scholarship
The Children of Fallen Heroes Scholarship was established by the U.S. Department of Education beginning with the 2018-2019 award year. A Pell Grant eligible student whose parent or guardian died in the line of duty while performing as a public safety officer is eligible to receive a maximum Pell Grant for the award year for which the determination of eligibility is made.

Fidelity Scholars program
Fidelity Scholars program is now launched in New Mexico. The Fidelity Scholars program will provide need-based scholarships to help students from underserved communities overcome barriers to success and graduate debt-free from a two-year college, four-year college, or a certificate program. The deadline to apply is January 11, 2024.
Eligibility Requirements
- 2.5 - 3.5 unweighted GPA or GED Certificate
- Pell Eligible and/or demonstrated financial need
- Plan to enroll full time at a non-profit college or university as a first-time, incoming freshman
