Whether you are interested in expanding your horizons, training for a job, or getting a jump start on college, the CNM Dual Credit program has something for you. Use the list of CNM approved Dual Credit courses, the course catalog and class schedule to select specific courses that meet your interests and scheduling needs.

Many courses are available after school, evenings, and weekends at one or more of CNM’s five campuses. Distance learning classes, of course, can be taken at any time from the convenience of your home or local library.

Career Clusters

  • business services: manage the human and corporate assets of businesses effectively and efficiently
  • energy & environment: participate in the “green” revolution, supporting the delivery of products and services that power our lives and preserve our environment
  • health & biosciences: join the health occupations and biotechnologies industry that allow us to live healthy, active lives
  • hospitality & tourism: preserve, protect and promote New Mexico’s cultural heritage, while serving visitors
  • general studies classes: earn credits for almost-universally required undergraduate classes in the liberal arts, sciences, and many other areas.

Special High School Dual Credit Programs

  • Rio Rancho HS Medical Lab Technican 1010 and Health Information Technology 1010: Both courses are embedded in the RRHS science curriculum. Open to juniors and seniors.

  • Southwest Secondary Learning Center Aviation Program: In a partnership with Bode Aviation and Embry-Riddle, CNM is developing an aviation pathway to train professional pilots. Students can take Commercial Air Operations AVIA 1110, and Private Pilot AVIA 1400 in the fall or AVIA 1140, Meteorology in the spring.

  • Tax Help New Mexico in High Schools: Learn how to prepare taxes and become a certified tax preparer, while providing volunteer tax services to low income and elderly residents of the community. Students enroll in CNM courses ACCT 1301, Volunteer Tax Preparation and ACCT 1398, Volunteer Tax Internship at four high schools during the spring. Course days and times vary.         Rio Rancho High School - Neal Weaver

  • West Mesa HS Automotive Technology Program: You can take all the first term classes required to receive the “Automotive Service Fundamentals Skill Set” at WMHS during the high school regularly scheduled classes from a certified CNM instructor.
  • Independence High School NAHA Program:  Independence High School offers NAHA 1010 the 9 credit required course for the Certificate in Nursing Assistance program.  For more information contact Independence High School
