What is Tax Help New Mexico?Tax Help New Mexico is co-lead by CNM and United Way of Central New Mexico.
The CNM/United Way Tax Help New Mexico program offers free assistance in preparing and filing income tax returns. We can help most New Mexico residents with an annual household income of less than $50,000 or who are over the age of 65. We cannot help people with complex tax situations, such as married people filing separate returns or self-employed individuals with total expenses of more than $10,000. Documents You Should Bring the SiteIn order to have your taxes prepared at a Tax Help New Mexico location, you must bring the proper documentation. These documents include, but are not limited to: Original Social Security cards or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) for yourself, your spouse, your dependents or anyone else on your return.
