Professional Licensure Disclosure

Information about how the degree/certificate programs offered at Central New Mexico Community College (CNM), including CNM Ingenuity (CNMI), meet state requirements across the nation.

CNM makes every effort to ensure state requirements for certification or licensure are up to date. However, these requirements may change. Because only state agencies determine whether an academic program meets requirements for certification or licensure, CNM cannot guarantee an individual’s attainment of any certificate or license.

This information was last updated June 2024. While we make every effort to keep this information up to date, changes can be made to licensure requirements by other states that we may be unaware of. We highly recommend that if you plan to use your license in another state you check with that state's licensing requirements. Learn more about professional licensure and the National Occupational Licensing Database.

You may also contact Christine Goshorn for more information.

The U.S. Department of Education Code of Federal Regulations CFR §668.43 requires colleges and universities to communicate publicly and directly to prospective and current students if programs leading to a license or certification meet other state's requirements.

CNM offers a number of degree and certificate programs that prepare students to be eligible for professional licensure or certification that qualify them for their chosen career. If your future plans include achieving licensure or certification, requirements for professional employment vary by state.

The chart below provides information about how the degree/certificate programs offered at CNM, including CNM Ingenuity (CNMI), meet state requirements across the nation.

Even when graduates are eligible for a national certification exam, there are instances when individual states have requirements beyond those that New Mexico has mandated.
