The IRB represents a wide range of scientific disciplines from the academic community. We evaluate applications on a monthly basis.
-
Applications for review must be received by the Friday before the meeting. If the application is received after that date, it cannot be considered until a later meeting.
-
Incomplete applications will be returned for corrections and will not be considered until the application is complete.
-
Human-subjects training is required for all applications. We currently accept CITI SBE. Your certification cannot be more than three-years old. If the training expires during your research period, you must renew the training and provide documentation. Training needs to align with the research being proposed. Other types of training will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
Application Process
- Identify the dates you want to start collecting data. Plan to submit all of your files at least two months prior to the date you want to begin research.
- Complete Human Subjects Training. See above for accepted training. Your certificate must be current within three years of the submission date.
All investigators and faculty mentors involved in a project must complete either one of these training sessions. - Complete the IRB application and relevant forms
