CNM Foundation

The CNM Foundation works with the community and CNM to benefit students and the institution, offering donors a myriad of ways to support our work today and our mission in the years to come.

About the CNM Foundation

Incorporated in 1992 as the not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation to accept and administer private gifts on behalf of Central New Mexico Community College (CNM), the CNM Foundation provides additional financial assistance for citizens of CNM’s service area, making it possible for them to obtain the quality educational opportunities they deserve.

The CNM Foundation is committed to the principle that no student should be denied the opportunity for an education or vocational training due solely to a lack of financial resources. The CNM Foundation works to help CNM meet its mission to create educational opportunities and community partnerships while pursuing a level of community college excellence that is worthy of local and national recognition.

Your gifts make it possible for our students to pursue the educational and career opportunities they deserve without the burden of financial obstacles. Thank you for helping them to become productive members of our community, which in turn helps our community thrive.

Featured Funds

Gifts to the CNM Foundation are tax-deductible and benefit CNM programs, scholarships, and activities that are not funded through state operating and capital budgets. The following funds are our greatest areas of need.

GO Bond Fund
The LaDonna Hopkins and Jennifer Riordan Service Learning Endowment

The LaDonna Hopkins and Jennifer Riordan Service Learning Endowment has been established at the CNM Foundation by Paul Hopkins and Michael Riordan to promote and encourage two priorities shared by their beloved spouses: community and philanthropy.

  • Make a check payable to CNM Foundation, designated for the purpose of your choice, and mail it to 525 Buena Vista SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106
  • Honor someone special or recognize an important event or date with a memorial or commemorative gift.
  • Make a donation to a charity of choice through our Leading the Way program if you are a CNM employee.

  • Consider a named scholarship endowment. You can determine the endowment's name and criteria. Donors provide a minimum contribution of $20,000 payable over five years.
  • Leave a legacy for the CNM Foundation in your will. The CNM Foundation is equipped to handle planned gifts including bequests, Designated Beneficiary Gifts, IRA Rollovers, Charitable Gift Annuities, and more.
  • Show your CNM pride with a license plate that also supports student scholarships. To order a CNM Suncat Plate, download form MVD 11322 from the New Mexico MVD College License Plate website and mail your completed form to the New Mexico Motor Vehicle Department.
