CNM Foundation
Remembering Dr. Janice Micali
Dr. Janice Micali, a former leader and impactful champion for CNM and our students, passed away on April 13. CNM expresses its deepest condolences to Dr. Micali's family and friends.
Dr. Micali began working at then-Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute in 1972, and led the establishment of CNM's Nursing program when she was Vice President of Instruction. She also created the Community College Leadership Institute at CNM in 1997 to help employees develop into highly-skilled, proactive leaders; the Institute lives on today as CNM’s Executive Leadership Year. Dr. Micali finished her CNM career as Vice President of Student Services, retiring in 2003.
Dr. Micali served on the CNM Foundation Board for over 15 years, continuing her commitment to helping students improve their lives through a CNM education. She was one of the Foundation's largest contributors and established the Dr. Janice E. Micali Scholarship Endowment in 2007.
CNM is extremely grateful for Dr. Micali's immense contributions to our College and our students.

The Janice Micali Scholarship Endowment assists students that are single parents who have primary custody of their children with the cost of education.
The Basic Needs Fund supports the basic needs of the CNM Community.

The Annual Fund provides funding where it is needed most and allows the College to proactively respond to our students' educational journeys.

The Rust Opportunity Assistance Fund provides emergency assistance to CNM students facing unforeseen financial obstacles.
The CNM Foundation offers many other scholarships and funds you can donate to in support of our community.
