How to Get a Computer and Student Technology Requirements
CNM wants you to be successful in all of your courses. Find out how to get a computer and our minimum technology requirements.
We have resources to help you purchase a computer:
- Financial Aid – The CNM bookstore has computers available that you may be able to purchase with your financial aid. Financial aid must be sufficient to cover the entire cost of the computer and cannot be used for partial payment. For additional information on financial aid and scholarships available to help cover your costs, please contact the financial aid office.
- Rust Emergency Scholarship – CNM has an emergency scholarship for students. The application is easy to complete and you can pay for a computer with this scholarship.
- Scholarships – CNM has over 75 different scholarships for students. You only need to complete one scholarship application to apply for them. You can use these funds to purchase a computer.
You may submit a request to borrow from ITS.

These operating systems are not supported by all educational software vendors that students may encounter in their courses.
