The parties to this Agreement agree that neither the Union nor the College's respective policies or activities will discriminate against any employee based upon race, age, gender, color, national origin, religion, ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation, Union or non- Union affiliation, veteran’s status or disability. To the extent allowed by law the only forum for addressing issues covered by this article is the grievance procedure contained in this Agreement. This article shall not be interpreted to restrict the employees’ rights under the state or federal law.

Employees who file grievances alleging a violation of the provisions of this Article and who have a reasonable belief that their personal safety is jeopardized may file the grievance at the step of the grievance procedure immediately above the level of the person alleged to have violated these provisions.

Title IX: Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) does not discriminate based on sex and prohibits sex discrimination in any educational program or activity it operates, in compliance with Title IX.
