Article 14: Non-Discrimination
The parties to this Agreement agree that neither the Union nor the College's respective policies or activities will discriminate against any employee based upon race, age, gender, color, national origin, religion, ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation, Union or non-Union affiliation, United States military veteran’s status or disability. Employees who file grievances alleging a violation of the provisions of this Article may file the grievance at the step of the grievance procedure immediately above the level of the person alleged to have violated these provisions.
Title IX: Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) does not discriminate based on sex and prohibits sex discrimination in any educational program or activity it operates, in compliance with Title IX. This includes admissions and employment. For inquiries or the Office of Civil Rights. The College’s Title IX nondiscrimination policy and grievance procedures are available on the CNM Title IX Policy and Procedures webpage. Individuals may report conduct that may constitute sex discrimination under Title IX to a Title IX Coordinator or CNM Security. To make a complaint of sex discrimination under CNM’s Title IX Policy, employees may contact the appropriate Title IX Coordinator.
