Phi Theta Kappa has recognized academic excellence in the two-year college since 1918 and has become the largest and most prestigious international honor society serving two-year colleges around the world. Its main function is to reward the hard work of students who excel academically, to organize service projects, and to coordinate honors study topics.

Eligibility

Membership is by invitation only. Invitations are emailed to eligible students the 4th week of each semester. To be eligible for PTK, you need to:

  • Declare a major in an associate degree program or certificate program,
  • Complete 12 or more credit hours at CNM in an associate degree program; six or more hours in a certificate program,
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
