About CNM STEMulus Center
The CNM STEMulus Center is a 4,000 square foot building in Downtown Albuquerque. STEMulus opened in August 2014 and quickly became home to a number of bootcamps and programs focused on careers in tech industries.
CNM worked with Baker Architecture + Design to create a space that conveyed an emphasis on technology while providing a flexible and stimulating environment with offices, meeting rooms, classrooms, break rooms, and open commons. Other elements developed by Baker A+D include graphics and signage used in and around all CNM campuses, custom window graphics, prefabricated plywood boards for advertising and announcements, and exterior entry banners.
In an open courtyard near the main center is the self-sustained, moveable PNM Pop-Up Pavilion, designed by Sam Sterling Architects. The pavilion consists of three stacked cargo containers and presents the perfect space for outdoor learning, student reviews, demonstrations and public events.
