CNM Main Campus
About CNM Main Campus
A short distance from the historic crossroads at Broadway and Central — and within close proximity to the University of New Mexico, the lively Nob Hill district, and downtown Albuquerque — CNM’s Main Campus bustles with activity.
When CNM opened, classes were held for 150 students in the former University Heights Elementary School, as well as in buildings that once served as military barracks and some cottages on the corner of Coal Ave. and Buena Vista SE. This site, which became the CNM Main Campus, now encompasses about 60 acres. The former elementary school is now home to the President's Office and is known as the Louis E. Saavedra Administration Building.
The Main Campus today has 20 buildings with classrooms and offices, with its most recent addition being the Education Collaborative building, an 80,000-square-foot, four-story facility. Renovations and enhancements continue throughout the campus.
CNM Wellness Path
CNM's 1.2 mile Wellness Path follows the perimeter of Main Campus and has themed stations along the way representing physical, occupational, intellectual, and emotional wellness. Stations include exercise and musical equipment, as well as picnic tables and chairs.
Each station has signage with a map of the full path, information on wellness, and specific wellness tips. Stations also provide information on native and symbolic plants found along the path. Check out the Main Campus map to see the location of the Wellness Path.
