CNM Law Enforcement Academy Celebrates Graduates
This past Monday, the CNM Law Enforcement Academy held a drive-through graduation on the Westside Campus. The Academy has graduated a total of 78 law enforcement officers in five cohorts. Cohort 5 consisted of 15 graduates from seven different agencies including; Bernalillo Police Department, Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office, Los Lunas Police Department, New Mexico Board of Pharmacy, Union County Sheriff’s Office, University of New Mexico Police Department, and the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office.
We also had three new agencies send cadets including: Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office, the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy, and the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
Class Awards went to:
Valedictorian—Officer A. Fitzgerald of the University of New Mexico Police Department
Top Gun—Deputy M. Baca of the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office
Top Driver—Officer R. Torrez of the University of New Mexico Police Department
The cadets received more than 730 hours of instruction/training over an 18-week period before they graduated the academy and now move on to their respective agencies.
