CNM Security Department Hosts Paw Up Event With Children’s Cancer Fund of New Mexico
Paws Up is an annual event hosted by the CNM Security Department in partnership with the Children’s Cancer Fund of New Mexico (CCFNM) and it's designed to provide a college experience for children with cancer. This year, twenty families registered with the CCFNM were invited and they got to participate in a small College and Community EXPO featuring Albuquerque Fire Rescue and the CNM Fire Science and Emergency Medical Services programs. Family members learned more about job opportunities in these fields and the kids were able to explore the fire rescue equipment. Afterwards, there was also a drive-in movie. Student employee Noah McDonald shot a gallery of photos at the event, which you can see below.
CNM Security is thankful for the many community partners and CNM departments that help make Paws Up a memorable event for the children and their families. This year’s Paws Up event received funding from CNM Security, CNM’s American Federation of Teachers, Khayyam Qidwai and Family, Kelly Schnepple, IAFF244 (AFR Union), and Ambition Nutrition. Paws Up also received CNM swag and support from the CNM Foundation, CNM Community Partnerships, CNM Marketing and Communications, CNM Student Activities, and CNM Volunteers.
