April 03, 2025

CNM is proud to announce that our students took home 39 medals in 17 separate categories during the 2025 SkillsUSA New Mexico State Leadership and Skills Conference. Of those, 14 students won gold, 15 won silver, and 10 won bronze. Our students also swept five categories by taking first, second, and third place.

The event, which was hosted by CNM, featured a record 1,200-plus high school and college student competitors from around the state who competed in over 60 career and technical education events ranging from culinary arts to welding.

CNM’s gold medalists will get the opportunity to represent the college and New Mexico as they put their skills to the test at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, which takes place June 23-27 in Atlanta, Georgia. It's billed as the largest gathering of America’s future skilled workforce and the ultimate recognition of excellence in career and technical education.

You can view a full list of the CNM winners and a photo gallery from the event below. Congratulations to all of the competitors and good luck to everyone heading to the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference!
