Our experienced instructors will help you learn key skills in areas such as financial accounting, budgeting, payroll accounting, and personal tax. You'll also become proficient in using accounting computer technology and applications, which are essential for modern accounting practices.

Upon completion of the Accounting program, you'll have the opportunity to earn an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Accounting or choose from various certificates designed to align with your professional goals. Each credential will open doors to further education at a four-year institution and a variety of career paths, including roles as an Accounting Clerk, Bookkeeper, Tax Preparer, and more.

Additional Information for Accounting Students

Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) saves students time and money on their degree or certificate program at CNM. If you are interested in earning college credit towards the Accounting program, please review the Accounting CPL Request Form.
The CNM Accounting program prepares you for transfer to four-year institutions, providing a pathway to further study in accounting or related fields.
