CNM's Diesel Equipment Technology program provides you with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform maintenance and repair on medium and heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Through a blend of classroom theory and hands-on exercises, you’ll explore diesel engine performance, brake systems, hydraulics, and preventative maintenance techniques, ensuring you are ready for the workforce upon graduation.

Many of our Diesel Equipment Technology students apply the skills they learn in our program to the annual in-house SkillsUSA competitions. These events offer a fantastic opportunity to showcase your expertise under pressure while gaining valuable work experience and networking opportunities. Many of our students win medals and even go on to compete nationally.

Graduates of CNM's rigorous Diesel Equipment Technology program are in high demand nationwide due to a significant shortage of qualified diesel technicians. This high demand translates into excellent pay and benefits, with job opportunities available in government and independent repair facilities, dealerships, and various roles, including line technicians, service managers, and warranty specialists.
