About Native American Studies

Native American Studies students will develop critical skills to prepare them for roles that support their local community or Indigenous nations worldwide. This degree emphasizes an interdisciplinary, community-based, and future-oriented approach. 

Further Studies

Once you get your Associate's Degree from CNM, you can transfer to a four-year university. The University of New Mexico has both Bachelor's and Master degree programs in Native American Studies, and will have a PhD program soon. Other options for further related studies are:
