The History of CTE at CNM
CNM's history in Career Technical Education dates back to 1965 when the college opened its doors as Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute offering real job training for Albuquerque citizens. Since then jobs, necessary skills, and CNM program offerings have changed, but the college's commitment to providing hands-on learning experiences preparing students for the workforce remains strong.
