About Bilingual Programs at CNM

Are you interested in improving your English while furthering your education? CNM's bilingual programs are designed specifically for English language learners. We will help you learn English or improve your English language skills, all while earning a degree or certificate. We will ensure you receive a quality education and provide the support necessary to improve your technical skills and career prospects. 

Bilingual Options 

Explore CNM’s bilingual options below. We offer two associate degrees, five certificates, and more than six classes in Spanish. Additionally, CNM offers Adult Basic Education programs for non-native speakers of English and those who wish to earn their High School Equivalency diploma.

Certificates

Bilingual Customer Service Representative*

Earn two certificates in this program: 

  • Customer Service Representative and
  • ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) 
Child Development, Certificate of Achievement
  • This certificate is equivalent to the state's Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. 
  • Coursework is offered in both English and Spanish. 
Community Health Worker, Certificate of Achievement*
  • Prepare to enter the workforce as a Community Health Worker. 
  • Coursework is offered in both English and Spanish. 
Nursing Assistant, Certificate of Achievement
  • Prepare for the New Mexico State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification exam. 
  • Instruction is in English and will help you refine your English language proficiency. 
Spanish Interpreter, Certificate of Completion
  • Designed for highly proficient bilingual (Spanish and English) students. 
  • Prepare for interpreter certification exams in medical, legal, business, or community fields. 

Adult Basic Education

English as a Second Language (ESL)

The ESL program provides educational pathways for non-native speakers of English. 
High School Equivalency (HSE)

CNM offers courses for those who wish to obtain a high school equivalency diploma.
