Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

CNM’s School of Nursing and Patient Support is committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

As members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, we uphold our ethical and legal responsibilities to respect diversity, equity, inclusion, and human dignity regardless of a person’s age, ethnicity, gender, job title, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status. We strive to end discrimination through allyship with students, patients, staff, and any individual or group who has been marginalized through unjust systems and biases. We welcome diversity and pledge to learn and practice our professions with “compassion and respect for the inherent dignity, worth and unique attributes of every person” (ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements, 2022).
