These programs are FAA part 147 approved (FAA #Q8UT5734K).

CNM's Aviation Technology program prepares you for certification as a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technician. With experienced instructors guiding you through the fundamentals of aviation maintenance technology, you will learn about airframe electrical systems, engine inspection, assembly and rigging, and much more.

In this program, you will engage in hands-on activities that allow you to apply theory in real-world settings. Upon graduation, you’ll be well-prepared to take the FAA written, oral, and practical exams, qualifying you for entry-level positions in aviation maintenance and manufacturing.

Alumni like James Caswell have successfully transitioned from CNM to fulfilling careers, working as aircraft mechanics and technicians at leading companies like Eclipse Aviation. Similarly, Lexy Snell, who entered the program without a technical background, credits her supportive CNM instructors for her rise to Assistant Crew Chief at Virgin Galactic.
