Are you looking to enhance your English language skills for career advancement? The ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) program at CNM is here to help you achieve your goals. Designed specifically for non-native English speakers, our program equips you with the language skills needed for college-level reading, writing, and oral communication.
In our ESOL program, you will complete four college-level ESOL classes tailored to your chosen career technical field. You will also take one to two introductory courses to fulfill the 16 credits required for the ESOL Certificate of Completion. This comprehensive approach not only builds your English proficiency but also prepares you for further academic pursuits or vocational training at CNM.
If you are interested in earning two certificates at once, you can also complete CNM's Bilingual Customer Service Representative (BCSR) certificate and simultaneously earn your ESOL certificate. In the BCSR program, you’ll master essential customer service skills, including effective writing, business professionalism, and telephone techniques, setting you up for success in the workforce.
Before enrolling in any ESOL courses, you’ll need to meet the English 1 proficiency requirement to register for the ESOL Certificate of Completion. If you don't yet meet these standards, you can start your journey with our Adult Basic Education program.
