Spanish Language Certificate and Associate of Arts in Modern Languages
Earning a Spanish Language Certificate or an Associate of Arts in Modern Languages with a concentration in Spanish shows your commitment to mastering both written and spoken Spanish. In addition, you will gain an understanding of Hispanic cultures—skills highly sought after in many fields. Whether you plan to work in business, healthcare, media, tourism, education, or government, fluency in Spanish and cultural competence are invaluable assets.
A certificate or degree in modern languages opens doors to careers that involve domestic and international communities. After you complete your studies at CNM, you will have the option to transfer your credits to a four-year university, allowing you to further your education.
Spanish Interpreter Certificate and Spanish Placement Exam
If you are aiming to become a professional interpreter, CNM’s Spanish Interpreter Certificate can prepare you to work in settings that require precise and effective communication. This program focuses on developing the skills needed to interpret in healthcare, legal, and community service environments, making you an essential bridge between Spanish-speaking populations and English-speaking professionals.
To help you succeed in your language courses, CNM offers the Spanish Placement Exam through the Assessment Center. This free exam will assess your Spanish proficiency and place you in the right course level. Once you have taken the placement exam, you can also earn between four-14 credit hours for as little as $95 by taking the CLEP Spanish Exam.
