Are you ready to begin a career in patient care? The Nursing Assistant program at CNM offers a Nursing Assistant certificate that can be completed in just one semester.
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will work closely with nursing staff to provide direct patient care in hospitals, long-term care centers, private homes, and rehabilitation facilities.
Gaining experience as a CNA can strengthen your resume and enhance your employment prospects, especially if you are planning to pursue a nursing degree. CNM makes it easy to earn your CNA certification, offering the state Nursing Assistant (NA) certification exam on Main Campus, with faculty-led review sessions to help you prepare.

Program Re-entry
Courses NA 1020, NA 1093, and NA 1190 are co-requisites that must be taken together and in sequence. If you withdraw, drop, or fail NA 1020 or NA 1093 with a grade of C or better, you will be dropped from NA 1190 and will not be able to complete the program during the current term. You may re-enter the program in the following term with instructor or Program Director approval to retake NA 1020 or NA 1093.
If you withdraw, drop, or fail NA 1190 with a grade of C or better, or miss more than eight hours due to illness or injury, you will be considered for re-entry in the next term. This process applies only to students who remain continuously enrolled in the NA courses and meet all program requirements.
Technical Standards
Per the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title II, Subpart A, people with disabilities must have an equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from state and local government programs, services, and activities. In order to provide a comprehensive list of program requirements for all students, regardless of ability, the Technical Standards for the Nursing Assistant program requirements must be achieved by all students, with or without accommodation.
