Nutrition, Associate of Science

As a student in the Nutrition program, you will examine the role of food and nutrition in overall health and disease prevention with an emphasis on the metabolic and physiological responses of the body to diet.

You can learn about career opportunities and pathways in Nutrition and related fields from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Dietary Manager, Certificate of Completion

The Dietary Manager Certificate of Completion will educate you on the principles and practices related to the administration of food services for public and private institutional settings.

The program includes instruction in:

  • Human nutrition
  • Food safety
  • The design and organization of food service systems
  • Purchasing and personal management

Once you complete the certificate program, you will be eligible to earn two credentials (Certified Dietary Manager and Certified Food Protection Professional), by taking a national certification exam offered by the Certifying Board of Dietary Managers.
